Family
I've always wanted a large family. I have 4 siblings and I always thought it would be cool to have at least 6 children. And here, I find myself, almost 30, married for almost 7 years, and absolutely no signs of kids. Not for lack of trying, I must add. Sure, I could ask, "Why me", why with such a huge desire would I not be blessed with a litter of my own.
I've often thought of this verse: "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward..." - Psalms 127:3, and foolishly questioned, "What did I do wrong not to deserve this reward?" Then I slap myself with a reminder that the blessings of the Lord are unmeritted, therefore, no right or wrong which I do would deny me a blessing He wants to give me.
I try not to get in a pity party state and think of all of the reasons I should be happy that I do not have children yet. 1. I get my husband all to myself. 2. I get more time to do the things I want t do. 3. Life is cheaper. And that's about it. hehehe
I have a new job working for an awesome company called "Nurtured Family". I know, I know, it is a little weird that I'm working for a parenting and baby boutique and I have no children. What was I thinking!?! I go to work every day and sell people beautiful parenting items, and I've barely even used them myself. I have to say I love these products, and sometimes I'd like to have a kid right now so that I could just use them.
Oh, well, when it's time, it's time. Who knows what wisdom or opportunities I'm gaining during these non-baby years.
